Thumbnail Sketches

These are the sketches I used to design each comic page between the script and plotting phase and the ultimately finished final pieces. Click through to check out pages one through nine!

"The scene is one that viewers even only peripherally aware of horror can conjure up with ease."

AnNoTATED SCRIPT

Originally, Psycho at Large existed as a research paper comparing the use of the "Death by Sex" trope in three different horror movies. Then, it evolved into a rough narrative, which then graduated to a screenplay, which then got recycled into the graphic novel featured on this website. In between those latter two stages, a large part of my process involved using the script to plan out my thumbnail sketches, making notes in the margins to plan out what would be in each panel; check out my annotations on a printed out script below!
